Artist’s Statement
I am a St. Louis based artist who has loved art and painting since I was young. I have a Master of Arts degree in education and was a high school English teacher until my second child was born. After staying home with my children for several years, I earned certification as a paralegal and worked at a patent and trademark law firm until I retired.
Since my retirement, I have been concentrating on my love of painting. My favorite subject is portraits and I have painted many portraits of friends, family, and people that I don’t know. I also paint still lifes, florals, animals and, most recently, landscapes. I continue to learn and grow as an artist, experimenting with different media and painting styles.
My artwork is frequently on display at a variety of venues throughout the St. Louis and St. Charles areas. I have had paintings juried into national exhibits on four occasions at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild and have had solo exhibits at the Maryland Heights Government Center, Bridgeton Trails library, St. Peters Cultural Arts Center and Maryland Heights Community Center.

I have artwork on display in a juried exhibit at Missouri Artists on Main gallery at 315 South Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri, during the month of November.
